|
Dark green glass bottle with ground glass stopper topped with British State Crown. Used as a retail container for perfumes, smelling salts and air fresheners.
Particularly unusual in that base bears lozenge for 2 March 1872 (Parcel 12) PLUS No. 260854 (the correct RD number for the date lozenge).
Registrant was The Crown Perfumery Company, London, but there is no indication of the actual glass manufactory. 1872 was the year that the Company was launched in Britain.
