Davidson pattern no. 699 C flower set - 3 pieces
Davidson Pattern No. 699 C Flower Set ā€“ 3 pieces ā€“ in green cloud glass. (ā€œCā€ = rim is vertical). 10 inches diameter.

Date Range: 1925 (?) to 1940.

The 696 and 699 series were the largest three piece flower sets that Davidson made. The first reference to these flower sets appears in a 'Buyers Notes' article in the November 1925 edition of the 'Pottery Gazette and Glass Trades review'. They were therefore probably introduced that year. The S/696 C variant was not made until 1937 and was only in production for one year (in Amber and Green Cloud Glass only). The 699 C also does not appear to have been made in Orange Cloud Glass.
The 696 and 699 sets both came with a No 2 plinth. The S/696 a No 1 Plinth.

The S/696, 696 and 699 came with 4", 5" and 5.5" flower domes respectively.
