"This object has always been described as a paperweight. Three versions are known so far. There were two black varieties - one with a matt, frosted finish and the other glossy - and a clear frosted variety. It is believed that all were glossy at time of manufacture but most were then frosted. The glossy black sphinx is thought to be the rarest variety."
