Burtles, Tate & Co. are best known for their decorative glassware, often manufactured in coloured opalescent glass.
They did, however, make some utilitarian domestic glassware, as evidenced by this clear glass comport or centrepiece RD 216088, registered by Burtles, Tate & Co. on 3 August 1893. 7 ½ inches tall.

Although the registration is for an oval dish with repeating imitation cut patterns, this piece suggests a full tableware set.
