Venetian glass vase

Brought a pair of these in Italy in 1998 - yesterday one broke and the insurance company have no clue so am doing a little investigating of my own.
Paid 150 pounds sterling ....I know nothing about glass or even the little township in Italy I brought them in (cannot remember name) just know that I liked them and then lugged them around for a while through Europe so they are very special to me......
Heavy blue base no scribe, scroll glass base and then spiral pattern on outside
