War-era ashtray
Ashtray with a transfer print of Winston Churchill, flanked by three hands giving the thumbs up, the Union Jack and an Australian red ensign flag. During WWII civilians were only allowed to use the red ensign flag as the standard flag was reserved for military use. The ashtray shape (without the transfer) does appear in the Crown Crystal Glass Co. of Australia pre-war catalogues, so it is likely to be Australian-made.

Cathy, your 3 arms are, I think, representing the three branches of the armed forces... army, navy and air force?
