J.C. Cottle pressed glass decanter, RD 728812, 1927

Clear pressed glass decanter of hexagonal section, each panel divided horizontally by two set of triple raised lines. Circular neck rim with single flange ring. Raised bell-shaped bottom with plain circular rim, which has raised, poorly-defined “TZ Rd. No. 728812”. [Presumed original] stopper with hexagonal pointed top and open ‘bubble’ to bottom. Height to top of neck ring 22.1cm, and 28.6cm with stopper in place. Weight 694gm. Cottle, J C., London, England (1920s - 1937). Joseph Kilvert Clifton Cottle of Napier Avenue, Fulham, later moved to Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen (died 20th April 1937).
