Yobunny Cyberspace is our personal bit of the world web web... though in our case it is more a warren than a web! Here we wanted to bring together all our personal interests and create sections about each of them.
Yobunny's Cyberwarren is Anne's personal site, covering genealogy, the family, history, poetry, web design, canal restoration and bargeware, amongst other things. More...
The Black & White website is a short history of the Lancaster Canal, illustrated with historical photos and documents as well as modern pictures of the canal. The text was originally written by Anne for an exhibition held at the Lancaster Maritime Museum in 1992 as part of the ACT200 celebrations for the bicentenary of the passing of the Lancaster Canal Act which enabled work to start on the canal's construction. Burton-in-Kendal Now & Then was written by Anne's son Alex in 2000 when he was 14 years old. This was his first attempt at writing a website and it was written using 1st Page 2000. Since then Alex has written the Bibliotecha site elsewhere and is now writing a new site for his own domain. More...
The Docwra Family Research Project started out as part of my family history research. My grandmother's sister married a Docwra, and as this is an unusual name it caught my attention. When a Docwra became my step-father that interest evolved into the online research project with the help of other Docwras all over the world. If you have this surname in your family tree we can probably connect you with others from the same family line as you. Check out all our online data. More...
Hive Jokes came about as a way of putting together the jokes which were posted between 1998-2000 to an online group known as The Hive. The Hive was formed by Soozie who was Queen Bee, and her original King was Karl. Soozie and Karl invited online friends they had made into the group until it became the most fun place to be. Sadly the group is no more, but the Hive Jokes website stands as a testimony to those friendships. More...
Barry originally wrote the Knaresborough Bed Race website whilst he was still living in Yorkshire. Every year the mad folks of Knaresborough get dressed up in silly outfits and push & pull a hospital bed (or something meant to represent one!) around a course that wends around the town, climbing hills, fording the river, and trying to be the first team home. They are joined by teams from all over the country, each of whom must be off their trolley to take part! This site shows one such race in Barry's own words and pictures. More...
The unofficial Marcus Gilbert fansite is dedicated to my favourite actor, of whom I've been a fan since I first spotted him in A Hazard of Hearts some years ago. Marcus starred in Hazard, and in Jilly Cooper's Riders, A Ghost in Monte Carlo, Army of Darkness, Legacy, Chameleons, Biggles, Woman of the Wolf. He also appeared in four episodes of Dr Who as the knight Ancelyn in the story entitled Battlefield. The site gives details and dates of Marcus' appearances in film, TV and on the stage, along with a collection of photos - some of which have never been publicised before. More...
