They are walking On the shingle track A shower of tiny stones skids down upon the rocks They shade their eyes against the harsh light Stinging back from church-white walls The goat bells chime against the silent sky She looks towards him with an eyebrow raised They sit upon the rock Breathe deeply One lone cloud For just one moment Blurs the light A lizard scuttles down between two stones Two women argue in the field below Morgal (9/6/97) |
