Nightfall
As the sun sank slowly into the sea
And the sky blazed gold and red,
And the waters shimmered in that light,
As the sun went to her bed.
The rocks stood dark against the glow -
Their silhouettes so clear,
'Till darkness overcomes the sky,
And the last light disappear.
In velvet blackness all shadows flee
To hide their forms in the night,
'Till Lady Moon awakes from sleep,
And stars do twinkle bright.
